Project Description: Package Design for an office Chair Mat
To elevate the product above a saturated market of subpar competitors, we collaborated closely with the client to distill their vision into a distinctive packaging solution. The resulting design embraces simplicity, using a refined layout that accentuates the brand identity and evokes the sleek, accessible aesthetic of an Ikea product—a crucial approach given the product's exclusive presence in the online marketplace.
Stringent production constraints—governing both cost and dimensions—challenged conventional approaches to the packaging design. A two-tone colour restriction limited the palette to black and white, spurring a solution that leverages high contrast for visual impact, while regulatory requirements for information display demanded creative use of space. The resulting package presents the Chair Mat as a versatile solution for protecting hard-surface floors or enabling smooth movement of rolling chairs on carpet, reinforcing brand identity within a competitive online marketplace.
