Project Description: 3D Modelling and Rendering for the Puritech UV-C Pen
The Puritech UV-C Pen was developed to address the need for surface disinfection during the COVID-19 pandemic, utilizing ultraviolet light to offer a convenient and effective solution for business owners and middle-class families.
As the 3D modeller on this project, my primary responsibility was to bring the product to life through the creation of highly detailed 3D renders. This asset needed to encompass various positions and colour variants, aligning with the creative direction established by the project's lead designer.
This project went through three distinct iterations and, crucially, we maintained continuous and open communication with the client throughout the project's life cycle. This dialogue ensured that our work remained aligned with the client's vision and allowed us to make real-time adjustments based on their feedback.
The result of this effort is a set of 3D models that exhibit a remarkable level of photorealism. Every aspect of the product is faithfully replicated, right down to the finest details. The versatility of these models has enabled us to produce a wide array of images that cater to the specific desires and requirements of the client.
Moreover, our attention to detail extended to ensuring that the final renderings seamlessly integrated with the UI design of the client's website. This fusion of visuals creates a cohesive and visually engaging online presence, effectively positioning the Puritech UV-C Pen as a vital and trustworthy pandemic-era solution.
Through three iterations and continuous contact with the client I was able to arrive at a final product that appears photo-real, accurate to the product, and versatile enough to achieve every image the client desired.
The final result blends seamlessly with the design of the clients website, which was undergoing development in conjunction with the modelling and rendering of these images.
